Rise with Your Red Hair and Eat Men Like Air

I did a shoot a few days ago and took some pictures with my new Polaroid back. It worked brilliantly as did the whole shoot, we had an amazing team and a beautiful location. I'm in the process of editing everything now but these are two Polaroids I took of model Rachel for her agency, who wanted a more commercial style of picture.
I am in love with her beautiful red hair set against these wild flowers!

I am a Material Girl

So I don't normally get ridiculously overexcited about technical cameray things, preferring to shoot with old cameras of my grandmothers, or lomos or box brownies... but when this came in the post for me today it filled my heart with happiness:

It's a Polaroid back for my Hasselblad all of my very own!

Previously I always had to borrow them from school but now I own this one... and the experience has effected me more than I expected.
Now that I have this cheeky new addition to my kit I feel more confident and prepared for upcoming shoots somehow and this has made me realise how important instant film is to me.

I enjoy working with all types of film bur I think Polaroid is by far the most magical, and  I think it's the one film type that I feel most connected to. Can't wait to try it out!
