Sally Mann What Remains

Yesterday I saw the Sally Mann exhibition at the Photographer's Gallery.
So beautiful and inspiring, I love her work.
I think I like her work so much because appart from being viually seductive, her images are mostly about the process she goes through to make them. She uses wet plate collodion processing to make images with a very unique looking surface, and I think it's refreshing to see work that is as much about the process of making the images as it is about concept.

  1. The process that she uses is mostly the part of a journey to achieve the result, to use this particular language of photography, being an art, which lets her express what even the title says: what remains... I think there is a huge concept within her artistic work, so I do recommend to consider her work. :)
