Mark Borthwick InspIration

A favourite photographer and huge inspiration of mine:

My Dad

Personal portraits of my dad as i see him.
Not as an author but as a family member.

Like irving Penn said, i think these reveal more about the person underneath than the author photo does.

Irving Penn

The Irving Penn portrait exhibition at the NPG
really inspired me
to want to take more portraits.

I loved what he said about revealing the
personality underneath,
the one the sitter doesn't necessarily want you to see.

Damien Lewis

A portrait I shot for my father, Damien Lewis at the Front Line Club in Paddington.
He needed some portraits for his books and website:
www.damienlewis.com
I shot this on Hasselblad and Neopan 400 film.

Streets of Dogtown

Some magazine layout ideas I had to do for schol using my skateboaring images and quotes from Lords of Dogtown.
